What is pentabrid technology used for?
Pentabrid technology is best suited to system upgrades where parts of the old system are to remain. It is also ideal where the existing coaxial cables are to remain but a better resolution is desired via TVI cameras or similar. Often a surveillance system needs to be expanded and if there are already coaxial cables laid, you can save a lot of precious time by not having to re-lay them. With pentabrid technology, the old cameras can be saved and more high-resolution IP cameras can be added in a smooth way.
How does pentabrid technology work?
Pentabrid technology is a smart technology that allows the video storage device to receive and manage five different types of video signals. It can receive digital signals and four types of analogue signals (TVI, CVI, 960H and regular analogue). The various analogue signals are input directly into the unit, while the digital signals are input through the network via identification of the cameras' IP numbers. The digital and analogue views then work side by side in the unit.
Which devices have pentabrid technology?
