Network

For surveillance cameras and IP cameras in particular, a well-functioning network is the foundation of a reliable system. We have therefore placed great emphasis on smart and efficient solutions via PoE. PoE is an abbreviation for Power over Ethernet and means that power can be sent via the network cable. Through our distribution agreement with Aetek, we have access to several levels of PoE switches and PoE accessories. The PoE switches are available in two main versions, managed and unmanaged, the main difference being that the former have inbuilt software for maximum flexibility. Unmanaged switches do not have built-in software but, on the other hand, are easier to use and have a powerful solution that increases the network range from 100-250 metres. Other PoE accessories include PoE injectors and loose PoE extenders for powering individual cameras.
