The AETEK C11-082-31-120 is a purpose-built PoE switch for camera surveillance with eight ports of PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at). It also has two separate network ports, one of which is gigabit for network cable and one for fibre for easy forwarding to another switch. A special feature for surveillance cameras is the ability to extend the range from 100 metres to as much as 250 metres on two ports. The built-in surge protection saves cameras and device from dangerous power spikes and increases the life of your equipment. Unique PoE range up to 250 metres

The switch is equipped with a smart PoE amplifier that allows cameras to be powered through the network cable up to 250 metres (normally 100 m) from the switch. A small button (DIP-switch) activates the extended range mode where IEEE 802.3af PoE is supported up to 250 metres. For PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at), a range of up to 200 metres is supported. The only limitation is that the available bandwidth drops to 10 Mbps, which is more than enough for most surveillance cameras.

PoE+ for the easiest possible installation

With its built-in PoE+ power supply, this device can power even the most power-hungry IP cameras on the market directly via the network cable. This means a simplified one-cable installation with video and power running in the same place. PoE+ also provides more stable operation of less power-hungry cameras thanks to the large power buffer. All channels support PoE+, so you don't have to worry about where to plug in a particular camera, just plug it in and everything runs smoothly.
