Pre-recording to see what happened before motion was recorded
Sometimes it's good to know what happened before it happens. With the video storage device's smart pre-recording, recording starts up to five seconds before it was activated. This can be crucial to not miss important details that happened before motion was detected or similar.
Remote panning directly in your mobile phone
Remote panning makes it easy to see what you want. The camera can be rotated a total of 316° directly via your smartphone, web browser or surveillance software. The camera is thus very flexible and it is easy to adapt its view when rearranging or actively monitoring an area.
Automatic overwriting when the hard drive is full
The video storage device is equipped with a smart feature that ensures the hard drive never gets full and recording stops. Instead, the device overwrites the oldest material as soon as there is no space left. A safety measure that also automates your system.
Zoom and focus directly at the camera
The camera's varifocal lens allows you to easily zoom and focus manually. This allows you to adapt the angle of view to the position of the camera and the environment in front of it, to optimise your surveillance. The camera is thus very flexible and suitable both where you want a narrow, zoomed-in view or a wide, zoomed-out image.
Make your camera wireless
This IP camera can easily be made wireless with an external wireless transmitter. This is great if wiring is difficult. Just keep in mind that the wireless signal needs to be strong enough so that you don't have stability issues as wireless can never achieve the same reliability as a cable. Power at the camera is required for wireless as the camera can no longer be connected via PoE.
Hot Point - lightning fast shortcut to key points
The Hot Point feature is ideal if you want to quickly return to a particular view with a PTZ camera. Select strategic views, set the zoom and then save them so you can return in a flash if needed. Hot Point also allows you to create sequences so that the camera switches between selected views for a quick and easy overview.
Cable diagnostics with unique cable length measurement
To keep full track of all cables, there is a built-in diagnostics function. It allows you to check in real time that the connection is correct and that network traffic is flowing smoothly. If a cable is damaged, the switch can show you where the break is on the cable, making troubleshooting much easier. The diagnostics also provide the ability to restart IP cameras that support the Onvif protocol, which all our AVTECH cameras do. This can be very convenient if a camera locks up or needs to be restarted after an update, for example.
Expand your storage via eSATA
If you want to expand your storage capacity or increase security, you can connect external hard drives via eSATA to your video storage device. This is useful if you want to run hard drives in a RAID configuration for added security or similar. RAID means you can make two or more hard drives work together as one unit, with the intention of reducing the risk of data loss. This hard drive enclosure is suitable for expanding storage.
Forget false alarms for small animals, weather and wind
The IR detector has a built-in solution to not alarm smaller animals such as rabbits, cats and small dogs. It is also resistant to alarms caused by weather or swaying trees. This means that the number of false alarms can be reduced to a very low level and you can be sure that an alarm is actually an alarm.
Alarm inputs and outputs make the camera smarter
The device is equipped with a separate input for sensors and an output for sirens, for example. This means that you can easily connect a motion detector or smoke detector to the camera, for example, and thus expand its area of use. The alarm output can be connected to sirens or to door openers and can be controlled automatically or directly via your phone. If the camera is connected to an AVTECH NVR device, these alarm signals can give you PUSH alarms with a short video clip immediately after the event on your mobile!
Surge protection against harmful power surges
To protect your surveillance equipment, the device is equipped with a surge protector. It can save your cameras in case of lightning strikes, uneven voltage or actual power spikes. Since a power surge can destroy electronic equipment, this is a cheap insurance policy.
Easy administration of VLANs
The PoE switch's topological view makes it easy to create smart VLAN groups. A VLAN or virtual local area network is ideal if cameras in different buildings need to be separated, for example in buildings with different tenants. For example, cameras in building A can belong to VLAN 2 and cameras in building B to VLAN 3. In this case, building A and building B are virtually separated even though they share the same physical network.
Three-dimensional alignment of the camera
To give you full freedom to mount the camera on both walls and ceilings, the camera lens can be adjusted in three dimensions. The three-axis design allows you to always get the image correctly aligned with the area you wish to monitor.
Customised hard drive for camera surveillance
The Seagate Skyhawk is a hard drive specially developed for camera surveillance. If you choose a hard drive of at least 1 TB for your video storage device, you automatically get a Skyhawk hard drive with maximum performance and security. In addition, a Surveillance Store technician will perform a professional installation of the hard drive.
Exclusive map features for easy overview
The switch has a built-in map function where you can add three different types of maps depending on how your system looks. One is a topological map that shows how switches and surveillance cameras are connected. The second is an overview map of, among other things, floor plan and direct camera location. For really large systems, there is also an option to put camera locations on a map via Google maps.
Simplify your installation with switches
Running cables is usually the most time-consuming part of installing a professional surveillance system. By placing PoE switches in strategic locations, you can save on cabling. This only applies to IP cameras.
In-built microphone
On this indoor camera, you can not only see but also hear what's going on in your surroundings. The integrated microphone gives you an additional dimension in surveillance and allows you to further expand the range of applications.
Onvif support
The device supports Onvif, a standard used by most major camera manufacturers. This means that it can be connected to most serious IP systems on the market, as long as they support Onvif. If you already have a qualified system, you can easily connect your new device to it without any worries.
Unique PoE range up to 250 metres
The switch is equipped with a smart PoE amplifier that allows cameras to be powered through the network cable up to 250 metres (normally 100 m) from the switch. A small button (DIP-switch) activates the extended range mode where IEEE 802.3af PoE is supported up to 250 metres. For PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at), a range of up to 200 metres is supported. The only limitation is that the available bandwidth drops to 10 Mbps, which is more than enough for most surveillance cameras.
