What is Solid Light used for?
Solid Light provides greatly improved surveillance in the dark and is suitable where the requirements for good night vision are high. It can be suitable for home surveillance, farms and large open spaces with limited lighting. Thanks to the high efficiency of the IR light, the night light reaches exceptionally far for cameras with Solid Light so it is also recommended for those who want to see long distances at night without having to add external IR lighting.
How Solid Light works
Solid Light is a technology for the effective management of IR light (night vision). To maximise light at night, AVTECH has created a complete solution that includes light control, increased efficiency and smart cooling. The light control means that Solid Light automatically adjusts the brightness if objects come close or approach the camera to avoid overexposure in the image. The increased efficiency of the IR light comes partly from the use of modern ultra diodes and partly from smart design that allows the light to spread in a better way. This allows the light to reach further distances and provides more effective night-time surveillance. In addition, the IR light can be set to different power modes to suit different environments. The smart cooling is the result of a newly developed electronic circuit combined with efficient heat sinks. Together they optimise the temperature and give the IR light a superior lifetime.
What cameras does Solid Light have?
Solid Light is a unique feature found only on AVTECH's best IP cameras. In addition to having good night vision, they are also cameras filled with other functionality. Most also have WDR, which in combination with Solid Light provides really sharp performance in dark environments with varying lighting.
